how do you color outside the lines?

Festival of the Arts (FOTA) is a celebration of creative students and artists at Dougherty Valley High School. The purpose of FOTA is to recognize our talented student body at DVHS and create a platform for students to showcase their passions. The event is set up like a music festival, with a staggered schedule and a variety of stages spread out across campus. Events include live music, an open mic, a dance show, a film festival, a student business showcase, an art gallery, and more.

FOTA will be held on May 11th from 3:30-8pm. the outdoor festivities in the quad will wrap up at 6:30pm, while the art galleries in the 4000 building will be open from 5pm-8pm.

FOTA strives to represent the various art departments that diversify DVHS. We urge our students to consider the open-ended prompt that drives this year’s festival, “How do you color outside the lines?”. From a young age, we were taught to contain our creativity and color within the lines. At FOTA this year, we want our students to keep in mind the best products are born by difference. We encourage our community to color outside the lines and show us the potential of their individuality.
